New Name, Same Friendly People, Expanded Services!

Welcome to Flagler Credit Union, a Division of Dort Financial! We are excited to share that you are now a member of our credit union with the merging of the assets of Flagler Bank and Dort Financial Credit Union. That means you will soon have access to expanded services, great rates, low fees; all the benefits of being a member.

Dort Financial Credit Union, headquartered in Michigan, will operate in Florida as Flagler Credit Union, a Division of Dort Financial. Your local, favorite Flagler employees will remain on staff and continue to provide you with the same excellent service that you have been accustomed to at the four Flagler Bank locations!

There are many exciting changes that will happen over the next few months. Please note that the conversion of your accounts to Dort’s systems will not occur until Summer of 2024. Until then, you should continue to use your existing accounts, debit cards, online and mobile banking, and other services as you have been. Before your accounts and service are converted over to Dort’s systems, we will provide you with the details you will need. You may have already noticed the new name and logos on your online and mobile banking app.

Please note that your deposit insurance has now moved from FDIC to the National Credit Union Administration, the agency that administers the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). Like the FDIC’s Deposit Insurance Fund, the NCUSIF is a federal insurance fund backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government. Not one penny of insured savings has ever been lost by a member of a federally insured credit union. To learn more, visit mycreditunion.gov.

If you currently have deposits at both Flagler Bank and Dort Financial Credit Union, it is possible that you may exceed the $250,000 coverage limit with the combined organization. If you have questions about your insurance coverage, feel free to contact us.

Our goal is to make the transition to Flagler Credit Union, a Division of Dort as simple as possible for you. While there will be many changes, we ask for your patience. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome you as a member of the credit union!
